White Medium Grain is a Japonica rice variety known for its short glossy-white kernels and sticky texture. The quality and consistency of Calrose Medium Grain rice established HINODE as a premium rice brand in the 1940’s. It is coveted throughout the Pacific Islands and Asian cultures where anything less than “Greatness In Every Grain” is unacceptable.

The plump grains of Calrose Medium Grain have a glossy sheen when cooked. Wondering what to cook with this rice? The sticky texture makes Calrose Medium Grain the most popular rice to pair with Asian dishes – either as a side dish or as a bed for stir fry. Make a double batch, cool the extra portion in the refrigerator overnight, and you’ve got the makings for an authentic fried rice.
